Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
Unidentified drones were reportedly seen flying over multiple coastal areas of South 24 Parganas late Wednesday night, including Gangasagar, Mousuni, Bakkhali, and Fraserganj. Residents observed multiple colored lights moving in the sky around midnight. Several individuals captured the phenomenon on their mobile phones. The lights were visible for several minutes and were reported from different locations along the coast.
In Gangasagar, locals claimed that two to three drones were seen hovering directly above the Kapil Muni temple for a noticeable duration. The sudden appearance of these lights caused alarm among residents, many of whom gathered outside their homes to witness the event. The drones appeared to move in a controlled pattern before disappearing from view. No injuries, damage, or disruptions were reported during the sighting.
This is the second instance of such drone activity reported within a few days in the region. As of now, there has been no official confirmation or statement from district administration or law enforcement regarding the origin or purpose of the drones. The repeated sightings have led to expectations of an official investigation into the matter.
